 Specification

**Product Name:**
Cotton Webbing

**Material:**
100% Cotton or Polyester/Cotton Blend (T/C). Material selection can be evaluated according to the required hand feel, construction, dyeing performance, dimensional stability, processing method, and end-use application.

**Common Blend Ratios:**
Common Polyester/Cotton blend references include 65/35 and 80/20. Other blend ratios may also be used depending on product construction, hand feel, durability, dyeing requirements, and application needs. Blend ratios are not fixed and should be confirmed according to the individual project.

**Common Widths:**
8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 22, 25, 29, 30, 33, 35, 38, 40, 50, and 100 mm. Other widths are considered custom specifications and can be developed according to product design, hardware dimensions, sewing method, and end-use requirements.

**Common Thicknesses:**
1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.5, 2.8, and 3.0 mm. Actual thickness depends on yarn configuration, fiber composition, weave structure, weaving density, and required hand feel. Other thicknesses can be developed for specific applications.

**Common Yarn Counts / Yarn Configuration:**
Common cotton yarn references range approximately from 10s to 80s, including 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 80s. Single-ply, two-ply, or other yarn configurations can be selected according to webbing width, thickness, weave density, hand feel, construction, and performance requirements. Yarn count is not a fixed specification for every cotton webbing construction.

**Weave Options:**
Plain Weave, Twill Weave, Herringbone Weave, Ribbed Weave, and other custom weave structures. Different weave patterns affect surface texture, flexibility, firmness, thickness, density, and overall hand feel.

**Colors / Custom Color Matching:**
Common colors include Natural, White, and Black. Other colors can be custom matched according to a specified Pantone reference. Reasonable color variation may occur due to cotton fiber characteristics, blend ratio, yarn, dye lot, and processing conditions.

**Custom Dyeing MOQ:**
3,000 yards per custom color. Actual requirements may vary depending on fiber composition, blend ratio, color, webbing specification, and dyeing conditions.

**Jacquard Design:**
Custom jacquard webbing can be developed with logos, lettering, patterns, or other brand-specific designs. Feasibility depends on webbing width, yarn configuration, weave construction, and artwork complexity.

**Printing Options:**
Screen Printing and other suitable printing methods can be evaluated according to the cotton webbing surface, fiber composition, artwork, colors, and finished-product requirements.

**Basic Converting:**
Cut-to-length processing, folding, punching, ironing, sewing, hardware assembly, and other component-processing options can be evaluated according to product requirements. Because 100% cotton does not heat-seal in the same manner as thermoplastic synthetic webbing, cut ends may require sewing, folding, binding, or other suitable edge-finishing methods.

**Functional Finishing:**
Pre-shrinking, softening, water-repellent treatment, flame-retardant treatment, anti-mildew or antibacterial treatment, custom coating, and other functional finishes can be evaluated according to the intended application. Suitability and final performance depend on fiber composition, webbing construction, dyeing process, finishing conditions, and applicable test requirements.

**Applications:**
Cotton webbing is commonly used for bags and handles, backpacks, apparel accessories, footwear, pet products, home textiles, packaging straps, sports accessories, craft products, and other sewn or assembled textile components. Applications involving medical, baby, safety, or other regulated products should be evaluated according to the applicable material, testing, and regulatory requirements.

**Standard Roll Packing:**
50 meters or 100 meters per roll.

**Custom Packaging:**
Bulk packing, custom roll lengths, cut lengths, small packs, individual packaging, or other specified packaging formats can be evaluated according to shipping, assembly, retail, or project requirements.

**Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ):**
1,000 yards per color / size. Orders below the standard MOQ can be evaluated and quoted separately according to material, specification, quantity, dyeing, and processing requirements.

**OEM / ODM Services:**
Custom development is available for material selection, blend ratio, dimensions, yarn configuration, weave structure, color, jacquard design, printing, basic converting, functional finishing, and packaging. Customers may provide physical samples, drawings, artwork, hardware details, assembly requirements, or end-use information to support specification review, sampling, and production planning.

## Specification Notes

The blend ratios, widths, thicknesses, yarn counts, and weave options listed above represent commonly available market references and practical cotton webbing specifications. They are intended to support product development and quotation preparation rather than define fixed combinations for every product. Specifications outside the listed options can be evaluated as custom developments.

Yarn count, number of plies, warp and weft configuration, weaving density, fiber composition, width, thickness, and weave structure are interdependent. The same yarn count can produce different finished thicknesses, hand feels, and structural characteristics depending on the overall construction. Yarn count or thickness alone should therefore not be used to determine finished-product performance.

Natural cotton and Polyester/Cotton blends may differ in dyeing behavior, shrinkage, hand feel, dimensional stability, and finishing performance. Custom-dyed products may show reasonable variation between approved references and production lots due to fiber, yarn, dye-lot, and processing conditions.

For products requiring specified tensile strength, abrasion resistance, shrinkage, water repellency, flame retardancy, antibacterial performance, or other functional characteristics, customers should provide the applicable test method, target value, or acceptance criteria during quotation or sample development. Final performance should be verified by the customer according to the intended application or through a designated third-party testing laboratory.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What information should I provide for an accurate quotation?

Please provide the required width, thickness, color, weave, quantity, intended application, and processing requirements. If a specific material or blend ratio is required, please include this information. Physical samples, drawings, artwork, hardware details, or assembly information can also help us evaluate the appropriate webbing construction, sampling requirements, and quotation conditions.

2. What products and industries commonly use Cotton Webbing?

Cotton Webbing is commonly used for bag handles, apparel accessories, footwear, pet products, home textiles, packaging straps, and other sewn or assembled components. Its natural textile appearance and hand feel make it suitable for brands, manufacturers, and OEM buyers in the bag, apparel, footwear, home furnishing, pet product, and textile accessory industries.

3. How does cotton compare with polyester, nylon, and PP webbing?

Cotton offers a natural textile appearance and hand feel. Polyester provides low moisture absorption and good dimensional stability; nylon offers flexibility and abrasion resistance; PP is lightweight with low moisture absorption. Each material serves different product requirements, so selection should consider the intended application, environment, appearance, hand feel, and specified performance rather than relying on a single material property.

4. What is the difference between Cotton Webbing and Heavyweight Cotton Webbing?

Cotton Webbing can be produced in different yarn, weave, and density combinations to achieve various thicknesses and hand feels. Heavyweight Cotton Webbing typically uses coarser yarns, plied-yarn configurations, or higher weaving density for a thicker and firmer structure. Selection should be based on the required thickness, hand feel, hardware compatibility, sewing method, and intended application.

5. What customization and converting options are available for Cotton Webbing?

Cotton Webbing can be customized by material, blend ratio, dimensions, yarn configuration, weave, and color. Additional options may include jacquard, printing, cutting, folding, punching, sewing, and hardware assembly. Pre-shrinking, softening, water-repellent, flame-retardant, or other functional finishes can also be evaluated according to material and end-use requirements. Fu Jyi Lin supports sampling and OEM/ODM development.
